What is Collected

This website uses PostHog, a privacy-friendly, EU-hosted analytics service reachable through this site's own domain (ph.mrcn.tr), to count pageviews.

No cookies, local storage, or session storage are used for analytics. No person profiles are created for anonymous visitors. Your IP address is only processed transiently on the server to derive an anonymous, rotating identifier and is never stored. There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no other third-party tracker on this site.

Functional Storage

Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key "theme". This is strictly functional: it exists only to remember your preference and is never sent anywhere.

Legal Basis

Processing is based on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)): understanding, in aggregate, which pages are read in order to improve the site while keeping collection to the minimum needed for that purpose.

Where Data Lives

Analytics events are processed in the European Union by PostHog's EU cloud. For visitors from Turkey this constitutes a transfer abroad under KVKK Art. 9; the EU is considered to provide adequate protection for this minimal, anonymous data set.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR (Art. 15-22) and KVKK (Art. 11), you can request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority for Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu). Since no identifiers are stored on your device, the fastest way to exercise these rights is to email me; I can also delete the aggregated data on request where technically possible.

VERBİS Registration

This is a personal, non-commercial website operated by a natural person below the applicable revenue threshold, and is therefore exempt from VERBİS registration under the Regulation on the Registry of Data Controllers.
